Music Meme Day 15: Summer Tunes

with all the driving around i do every day, you'd think i would be born ready for this question. HOWEVER, picking just five summer tunes was a lot harder than i thought.



Day 15: Top 5 songs on your summer road trip playlist

1) sexy zone - forever gold
i contemplated this for the color day but since it came out it's been on my driving playlist and i don't see it going anywhere anytime soon. there's something about the sound that keeps me awake and jamming on those long, endless highways.

2) johnnys west - 証拠
something about this song mixes with the urge to roll down all my windows and sail down the road. i love songs that help pull my out of my own thoughts and help me just jam out, and this is one of those songs.

3) hey! say! JUMP - コンパスローズ
another one of those band songs that hype me up. hika wrote the lyrics to this song, and it always brings me great joy to hear it, especially when I'm driving. jump has so many great songs that are good for on the road, but i'm always partial to their band sound. for that matter, I could put dash!! on this playlist too, but there are SO MANY and i have to choose just five!!

4) hey! say! JUMP - Ride With Me
i truly think this song was made with people who drive in mind. everything from the dance to the sound itself helps me bop when it comes to being in my car for long, extended periods.

this song ALWAYS makes me think of driving. it's great for those local winding turns that i take at a little too fast sometimes. if i ever get pulled over i think i should send my ticket to the jimusho for reimbursement (i kid).

Your first two songs are on my driving playlist too, and I think Ride With Me just didn't make the cut (because I burn mp3 CDs and only have so much space), but I don't know the other two. I can definitely see how they're good driving songs.

they're such good driving songs! and dangerous, unless you're better at controlling how much energy you feel unlike me LOL. i absolutely get that, i'm lucky at the moment to be able to fit them all on my playlist but that wasn't always the case LOL.

yessss 証拠 is so good - i need to add it to my apple music playlist, it didn't manage to make the jump from youtube for me and that should be fixed immediately
